I just read this report about this 11 year old girl in the Phillipines hanging herself cause of "Poverty".

What a Bitch.

JEEz girl, I don't care how old you are or how poor you are, you hang yourself not because life is too tough for you to go on, but because you're a spoiled brat who can't appreciate simple pleasures, and can't be bothered to do anything to change your life! "ALL I WANT WAS A BICYCLE AND FOR ME TO FINISH MY EDUCATION."
You want a Bicycle when you're this poor? Shooting for the moon ain't you? You want that bicycle, you bloody well earn it. Don't expect that two wheeled device to land from the sky.
Finishing your education? Well, if you love your studies so much, shouldn't you try to do well in it and obtain scholarships? Hell woman, writing into a TV show and expecting them to take Sympathy on you and give you what you want ain't the most effective solution. There might be others more deserving kids who actually have a fighting spirit within them.You're not the only kid who was born into poverty. There are thousands more, but you don't see them dangling from a noose.

God, the only people I'm actually feeling sorry for are the girl's parents, whose lives are made tougher due to a brat in the household.
Now, before you declare me heartless, think about this: you take away all the emotion, and the sympathy, take a closer look. The girl killed herself bacause she was unsatisfied with her life, and was too lazy to think up a solution.
Ultimately, it's just another case of a kid who can't appreciate life because she couldn't get what she wanted. MATERIAL LOVE. Pssh. God it's people like this that I have a problem with helping. Those sad pathetic faces you see on Telly. Jeez, I want to help people who need help, but if you ain't prepared to help yourself first then what's the point?
