So this was an eventful weekend.
Start off on Saturday, where we began the day with Chemistry and Social Studies focus lessons, which, needless to say, dragged on and on and on and on and on......Once Ms Chai finally dismissed us, I shot out of the school like the Millenium Falcon in hyperspace, and headed toward Suntec city, where the first ever Singapore Toy and Comic Con was held. First, I went there with my mother, who was NOT a movi/comic fan, and spent the entire time whinging and complaining of the massive crowd that had gathered there. I left for lunch after I realised I missed the Droid hunt organised by the 501st legion(which is an organisation of Star wars fans), and before my blood pressure shot through the roof due to Mom's griping and the crowded atmosphere. I was ready to wage World War 3 on anyone who bumped into me.
Then I met up with Jessie at about...2(?)after Mom left. Jessie was slightly more tolerant than Mom, not complaining much even when we walked straight into the Walk of fame(which was THE most crowded area because of the famous artists there), and found ourselves being pushed along the entire stretch, unable to move forward nor backward. We passed by this booth-77 Star, where they sold movie collectibles at low prices. After digging through the bargain bin, I uncovered an Indiana Jones Miniature, whipless, for 5 bucks. I bought it, thinking I would probably make a whip for him later(If anyone knows how to make a mini whip, please tell me). Jesie then had to leave, but Winona came by just before she did, and once again, I entered the chaos in the Hall. Nothing much happened, we just hung out, Baby-sat, and went over to suntec city. There, I bought the Complete Making of Indiana Jones book, using my Popular vouchers and Winona's discount card, and ended up only paying 7 bucks. The book is chock full of behind the scenes photographs and movie stills of the cast and crew behind the Indiana Jones saga, and contains an almost day by day reporting of the filming for each Indy film. It also has transcripts of important meetings where a signature chracter or scene is born, and is peppered with interviews form the cast and crew. A Indy fan's idea of heaven basically.
Later in the night, I went over to Anchorpoint with Winona and her family for dinner, where we parted ways and I headed over to Jack's Place where Mom was waiting.
