Never has the theme song for Twisted Nerve sounded so melodious. The ominous whistling tune used for movies like Kill Bill Vol 1 often promised an impending murder from a psycho killer.

Just saw the Dark Knight yesterday with Mom, and I'll add my own two thumbs to the millions of thumbs already up worldwide. Possibly Heath Ledger's finest work (Out of those I saw anyway), it's a bloody shame this is the last we'll see of his psychopathic clown. Let's hope he gets the oscar everyone's talking about instead of some stuffy snot.
Aaron Eckhart does an equally fantastic job as District Attorney Harvey Dent, Gotham's white Knight. To those who don't already know, he later turns into Two-Face, yet another villian in the movie who's in dire need of Plastic surgery. But he's kinda overlooked cause of the clamber to watch Ledger's last(second-last) role. He did a really fine job at getting you to root for his murderous rampage in the last hour of the film.
Bale was..Batman, duh, but I kinda felt that he was upstaged by his co-stars this time round, along with the rest of the good guys. Batman's just not THAT interesting anymore with Two-Face and The Joker on screen. Face it. Evil guys are more fun. Gary Oldman manages to hold his ground as Gordon, effortlessly pulling off emotional scenes throughout the film. Caine didn't get enough screentime though.
Nonetheless, the film is arguably THE best Batman film EVER, as Nolan managed to balance the screentimes of the four main chracters in the story, staying way clear of the X-men 3 curse of overintroducing characters, which led to some shit excuse for a movie with lack of character development. I'd happily give it 5 stars, but I'll have to wait for the DVD to fully understand the little details. It's 2.5 hours long, so to all of you pea-bladders out there, bring a catheter or empty bottle along or something.
