I love my primary school pals.
I just met up with the whole bunch yesterday, at Great world, and when I say the whole bunch I mean the whole lot. Winona, Vinod(who brought a guitar), Elaine(who came ridiculously late), Denny(who had weird pockets), Bina, Chris (who was pretty much lost in conversations, and also brought a guitar) then we also ran into random groups of Ex-Rvians while walking around.
They've all grown! Jeezus! It's not fair! Everyone shot up but me! Most of the boys are 6 foot something now. Did they all find a radioactive corner in RV that I didn't?! Anyway, we spent most of the time complaining to each other about secondary school life, while I bitched about iPod woes. The River Valley area's changed a lot since I last went there. Lots of revamping. There's this big empty stretch next to the road that I can't fill in, having forgotten what was there before, and our old River Valley Primary building has been fitted with glass sliding doors and windows, all the "classrooms" fully equipped with Air con, and the exterior painted blue. The uh..basketball(?) court next to canteen B has been changed to a tennis court, there are vending machines in the wall behind the canteen, and canteen A has been mordernised. But other than that, they've pretty much kept the structure of the school, so that's a plus. But the essence of it's kinda gone.
Having said that, it kinda feels like most of my soul kinda died with it. My life feels kinda empty now, just feeling a bit(okay ALOT) detached from the current events. Just last night I found out I barely noticed the entire day's events, and can't remember how I felt at when. Guess this is what it means to be numb. I'd better get my humanity back soon.
