OH.....WHAT THE HECK?!
Empire's 500 greatest movies f all time is out on their site, and I spent most of the time feeling really disappointed with it. Yeah sure, all my favourite movies were on the list, well, MOST of my favourite movies, but it was a bit of a shock to note some of their positions. Some films on the list were, in my opinion, HIGHLY overrated, and some shouldn't even BE on the list. Then again, that's why they have their forums eh? To allow fans to fight it out.
I've got my movie work cut out. Only seen like 116 movies on the list. Many of them were enjoyable, but it's their overall position that gets me.

But THE ENTIRE Indiana Jones Quadrilogy is on that list. Rated in the order they were released in. AWESOME. Raiders got second. SECOND! Trumped only by the Godfather. Lord of the Rings was on as well, but sadly, could only achieve Top 30. Most of Star wars got in there, didn't see Attack of the Clones though(cause it was rubbish). But -SHOCK SHOCK HORROR!- Phantom Menace(yes that movie with a certain CGI-ed Gungan) was in there! What in the heck? THAT got in but the Lion King didn't?! 2001: a Space odyssey got in. Overrated. In every way. Although I did like that shot of the man running.Transformers beat Revenge of the sith and a whole lot of WAY better films. That really got my blood pressure boiling. Another one would be Harry Potter 3, which -come on!- was the WORST of the series! That's not a werewolf! Basically I think all of Cuaron's films are rubbish. Oh look,Children of men. But the Wright/ Pegg films secured respectable positions on the list though.
