Bizarre occurences happen to everyone.
Today a strange situation occured where by Yuqi and I suddenly messaged each other at the same time, both messages asking the other for a meet up. I wondered why I couldn't send the message. I requested for an outing to the esplanade library, where his simply said "Push?"
After sorting out the confusion created by 12.17 smses, we then tried to compromise.
It feels a little weird that we're not in the same school anymore, or even the same country. It's strange to not know what the other is talking about anymore, and sometimes I find myself missing that sense of security I found in Tanglinians I was comfortable around. Because we've been on the same boat for so long, when we finally realise we're taking our own paths in life it becomes lonely. With Yuqi and Jessie we were on the get go from the day of our first fencing practice, roped in by a bunch of events that seemingly aren't related. Amin's interception led to me having nothing to do, me having nothing to do led to Adelyn standing next to me, Yuqi got a sudden urge to smile, leading to Adelyn questioning his sanity. Jessie came in cause Adelyn and her already spoke to each other. Then we go find out Jessie and Yuqi were schoolmates before. It's like the forming of a black hole that somehow formed my social circle. I sucked in everyone who survived 1E/2E 1 years with me, and they sucked in their OWN network of friends, and someone this concoction formed most of 4E 1&2.
Now we're different in terms of education, allowances, public transport fees (Get that fixed will you?! I do wish to have some savings by the end of Poly!Motherfucking lollycads.)and time zones.
Still, it's these differences that make these occasional meet ups all the more charming.
